American source: Deal with Iran is best option
In an interview by the Saudi-based Al-Arabiya Network, an unknown source of the United States Department of State noted that the US government sees an agreement with Iran as the best possible option.
The source added that the US emphasizes cooperation with Iran to realize and probe the effects of uranium on its nuclear facilities.
At the latest round of the talks, held earlier in August, the European Union presented proposals aimed at salvaging the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), which ran into trouble in 2018 after the US withdrew and reinstated sanctions on Iran.
Last Monday, Tehran offered its response to the proposals that the EU and the US said they had received and were assessing.
Iran has time and again said that it is serious to reach a strong, good, and durable revival agreement that respects its red lines.
