Congratulating Arin Karapet on his party’s victory in the Swedish parliamentary elections, the President expressed hope that this will be one more impetus for the Swedish-Armenian mutual partnership.

Arin Karapet in turn thanked the President for the welcome and stated that he is in constant touch with the Armenian Embassy in Sweden and the Armenian partners aimed at implementing joint projects.

The meeting touched upon issues of the pan-Armenian agenda and the regional security.

The prospects of the Armenian-Swedish cooperation in a number of areas were discussed. The sides also touched upon using the Swedish experience in Armenia aimed at raising the efficiency of the activity of local self-government bodies, as well as the mechanisms on ensuring energy independence.

Arin Karapet introduced the President on a number of aspects of the activity of the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group and the possible initiatives around bilateral substantive programs.

President Khachaturyan stated that he is always ready to support the intensification of bilateral relations and cooperation as much as possible.
