Let's hope this time our partners will not let us down: Simonyan

Armenia’s Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan spoke about the situation in the Lachin Corridor at the Parliament and made several statements, 1lurer reports.

“I think our neighboring countries, and not only directly neighboring countries, have not understood that there are red lines in Armenia. Those red lines are clear to us. Such actions will not force us to do anything. I think my hint will reach and they will understand.

Azerbaijan often declares that they want the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to have the rights that its citizens have. What is it: being held hostage, the gas being turned off, or not receiving medical care?

The second record that I would like to make is the record of the international observation mandate. This shows that we should be very serious and talk with our international partners about the international mandate, why not about having an observation mission of the 12 member states of the Minsk Platform in the territory of Artsakh,” said Simonyan.

Regarding the mandate of the Russian peacekeepers, Simonyan mentioned.

“Regardless of whether we are satisfied or not at the moment, this shows once again that peacekeeping forces are needed there and should be extended. Maybe we should consider not only Russian peacekeepers, but also other international formats to carry out surveillance there.”

Simonyan said that at this moment the USA, EU and France have already made targeted statements.

“According to the information we have, the Russian Federation is going to make a similar statement, which the Armenian people have been waiting for a long time from their ally. Let's hope that this time our partners will not let us down,” said Simonyan.
