Discussion of situation in Nagorno Karabakh at UN Security Council already means internationalization of issue-Beglaryan
“This morning (16 December), following the consultations on Libya, UNSC members will discuss the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh (Armenia - Azerbaijan) under "any other business", at the request of the French Mission to the UN. No briefer is expected”, the Security Council Report tweeted.
Commenting on this news, Advisor to the State Minister of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan stated: “It is gratifying that the UN Security Council will discuss today the issue of Artsakh. The discussion will be held in a closed format, but it already means internationalization of the issue. I hope the United Nations will pay greater attention to the solution of both short-term and long-term issues, by fulfilling its commitments and using all possible mechanisms”.
Since December 12, Azerbaijan has blocked the Lachin Corridor, the only road connecting Nagorno Karabakh with Armenia and the outside world.
