At least 3,400 people lost their jobs in Artsakh, 726 businessmen suspended their activities: update, 1lurer reports.

According to the update of daily statistics of the government of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) (day 36 of the blockade):
  • 14 children remain in the neonatal and intensive care units of the children's hospital;
  • 9 adult patients remain in the intensive care unit, 5 of them in critical condition,
  • 132 children were born during the blockade;
  • 400 citizens continue to be deprived of the opportunity to receive necessary medical treatment due to suspension of planned sugeries in all medical facilities of Artsakh;
  • so far, 28 patients were transported from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and escort of the ICRC to receive appropriate treatment; 
  • 726 businesses (17.7% of the total) suspended their activities due to the inability to operate under conditions of the blockade;
  • at least 3,400 people lost their jobs and source of income due to the difficult economic situation;
More than 14,000 tons of vital supplies would have reached Artsakh if it were not for the blockade, during which only a small part was delivered by the ICRC and Russian peacekeeping forces.
