The armed forces of Azerbaijan also fired at the Armenian positions located in the Sotk section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as a result of which the work of the Sotk gold mine was stopped, the employees were evacuated, Ruzanna Grigoryan, the representative of the company operating the Sotk gold mine, "Geopromining", told ARMENPRESS.
"They started shooting around 17:15. The company stopped the work of the Sotk mine and evacuated the employees for security concerns," said Grigoryan.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reported that on April 11, around 16:00, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia who were carrying out engineering works in the direction of Tegh community. The Armenian side resorted to retaliatory actions. Azerbaijan also used mortars in the direction of the Armenian positions, and the Armenian side resorted to necessary defensive actions.
Armenian media reports that the Armenian side has 3 victims, the Azerbaijani side has 4 victims.
