In particular, in 2022, the structural changes of the units of the Armed Forces and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia took place, an extra payment was established for contract servicemen in the sidelines of the certification process, as a result of which servicemen's salaries are expected to double, a new procedure for shifting from compulsory military service to contract military service was established through the implementation of the "Protector of the Homeland" program.

In addition, the servicemen who graduated from a military educational institution and were appointed to an officer position in the Ministry of Defense or the National Security Service border guard troops were given the right to use and later get an apartment with the right of ownership free of charge, the scope of conducting training camps was expanded, the introduction of the "IP" communication system continued.

The report also mentions that the scope of military-technical cooperation has been expanded and more than 3 dozen contracts have been signed for the modernization of armaments and military equipment and the acquisition of new models.

Necessary systems, engineering, construction, educational and other means have been acquired for the proper organization of protection of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone.

The aviation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia acquired new modern multi-purpose helicopters designed for fire, transport and sanitary tasks, the installation of video surveillance systems continued, connecting them to the general network and bringing them to the operational control center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

It is also noted that the works of furnishing the permanent locations of the positions and military units and improving the living conditions of the personnel were carried out, the construction of the permanent locations of the armed forces units was carried out in various communities.
