Gagik Tsarukyan charged with vote buying
Investigators say Gagik Tsarukyan and Multi Group Concern Director Sedrak Arustamyan bribed voters during the 2017 parliamentary election to vote for their bloc and candidate.
The criminal proceedings were initiated back in June of 2020 when Tsarukyan was a Member of Parliament. Tsarukyan was stripped of immunity by parliament and taken into custody in September 2020. He was released on a 100,000,000 dram bail in October 2020.
Tsarukyan has denied the accusations.
