Iran, Russia FMs call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that a telephone conversation was held between the Iranian, and Russian foreign ministers in which the two sides emphasized the immediate ceasefire in Gaza, IP reports.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's announcement on Sunday, in this conversation, the main focus was on the current situation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, and the parties expressed their concern about the continuation of the armed conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Also, in this phone call, the foreign ministers of Russia and Iran emphasized the need for an early ceasefire and immediate assistance to the injured civilians.
In this telephone conversation, the schedule of future calls between Tehran and Moscow and a number of other agendas on bilateral relations and international cooperation were discussed.
The Iranian and Russian Foreign Ministers had a telephone conversation on November 13, 2023, focusing on the developments in Gaza. In that phone call, the parties also emphasized the need for a ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid to Palestine.
Since the Israeli regime started bombarding Gaza, at least 12,000 Palestinians have been killed, including more than 8,300 women and children, and 30,000 have been injured, according to the territory's Health Ministry.
